Materials

PET

PET or Polyester is a transparent plastic. It is strong and also lightweight. The material has both good mechanical properties and a good vacuum formability.

PET is a plastic that has a good printability, high stability, high water vapor and gas barrier and is also food grade.

The minimum temperature for PET is -5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in short term is 70 degrees Celsius and for the longer term 70 degrees Celsius.

RPET

Most items in our range are currently made from RPET. Recycled polyester is made from recycled PET materials. By using this, it saves CO2 and reduces the production of 'virgin' plastic.

APET

A-PET (Amorphous Polyethylene Terephalate) is a clear plastic that consists of very strong material. The product is shock-resistant as well as tear-resistant, because of this the products will be well protected. The material is resistant to temperatures of -20 degrees and +60 degrees. The advantage of A-PET is that the material is fully recyclable.

CPET

CPET stands for crystallizable PET. The crystallization robs the material of its transparency. The material is resistant to high temperatures and can therefore be used in the oven as well as in the microwave. Therefore CPET is ideal for food trays.

The minimum temperature for CPET is -5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in short term is 220 degrees Celsius and for the longer term 220 degrees Celsius.

PET-G

PET-G is modified PET with glycol. PETG is a high quality thermoplastic polyester which is strong, impact resistant and transparent. Due to the addition of glycol, it obtains a lower melting temperature and maintains its brightness.

PP

PP (polypropylene) is a hard plastic, but it is also flexible. PP retains its shape around temperatures between 0 degrees and 110 degrees Celsius. The products are excellent for cleaning applications and for pasteurization. The product is resistant to bacteria and mould.

COPO

COPO is part of the PP plastics. However this type of material is more suitable for frozen purposes. The material is manageable to -40 degrees.

PS

PS (polystyrene) is a lightweight plastic. It is one of the most commonly used materials for making packaging and disposable tableware. The material insulates well, is water resistant and long-lasting.

The minimum temperature of PS is -18 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the short term is 90 degrees Celsius and for the longer term 80 degrees Celsius.

PVC

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is a plastic that is mainly used as an alternative to concrete and wood. The plastic is easy to work with and easy to bend into a particular shape.

The minimum temperature of PVC is -5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in short term is 80 degrees Celsius and for the longer term 70 degrees Celsius.

PE

PE (polythene) is a plastic from which various types can be made such as LDPE and HDPE. The material is suitable for food products, largely chemical resistant and heat resistant to 70 degrees Celsius.

The type of plastic is also freezeproof to -40 degrees Celsius. It is therefore extremely suitable for storing products at low temperatures. The material will not splinter or crumble at low temperatures.

Bagasse

Currently, there are several packaging options available that consist of environmentally friendly materials or are less harmful to the environment through the use of recycled raw materials.

Bagasse items are made from the sugar cane plant. Sugar cane is harvested 18 months after it is planted, but the root remains in the ground so the plant can grow again. In this way it can last for 10 years.

Sugar cane is also biodegradable and compostable. In addition, it requires less energy and water to process unlike other materials.

Kraft

The word ''kraft'' comes from Germany which means strong. The paper/cardboard is stronger than standard paper and has a higher resistance to tearing.

Kraft is a popular packaging material. The presentation of the product also appears very natural due to the brown color used. In addition, kraft involves pressing long paper fibers tightly together, which creates a high density and makes the paper less porous. In this way, the packaging allows less oxygen to pass through and also allows less moisture to leak through. This all benefits the quality of the respective packaged product.

In addition, it is also a material that is easy to recycle and is also compostable.

Foils

Before making a purchase it is very important to consider the exact purpose. We offer various types of foil such as: aluminum foil, sealing foil and stretch cling foil.

Sealing foil is for all types of sealing machines or industrial shrink machines. Sealing film is suitable for presentation purposes. It has a good transparency and solid quality. We also offer various sizes of this film.

Cling foil is a transparent plastic, which just like aluminum foil, you can use to cover food and keep it fresh. It has very much the same function as aluminum foil. Cling foil consists of LDPE (low-density polyethylene), which is used mainly for soft plastic products. In our assortment you will find various sizes of cling film.

Aluminum foil is not transparent, but has the same purpose as cling film. It comes from a large block of solid aluminum which is being made thinner and thinner.

IPP

In our assortment you can also find PP meat bags. These are blown PP bags. The abbreviation IPP comes from the word inflated polypropylene. Polypropylene is a plastic that belongs to the so-called thermoplastics.

For more information see our product page under IPP

HDPE

HDPE (high density polyethylene) is an opaque, thick material. The uniqueness of this plastic is that it has a wide applicability, a long life span and also a low environmental impact. The product does not discolor and does not absorb moisture.

The minimum temperature of HDPE is -70 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the short term is 100 degrees Celsius and for the longer term 90 degrees Celsius.

We offer HDPE bags, crate bags and sheets. For more information visit our product page under HDPE

LDPE

LDPE (low-density polyethylene, also abbreviated as PE-LD) is the brother of HDPE. This includes soft plastic products.

The advantage of LDPE is that it is a tough plastic that feels quite soft but is still very strong. The product is also water-repellent and insulates well. In addition, as with HDPE, little energy is needed for its production.

The LDPE products you will find in our assortment are sidefold bags, poly rolls and garbage bags.
